Delivering voice solutions to small and large New Zealand businesses encompasses everything from simply setting up a phone on a desk to designing and managing complex network and voice solutions for corporate multi-site customers. In order to deliver on its customers' individual needs, GDC Communications requires information from them that is technical, highly specific and confidential.
youandi was customised for GDC to allow easy but restricted access to all that information in seconds. “I don't even know what the original product looks like now,” says Tenille Pedersen, the customer relations manager who was involved in redesigning the drop down boxes in the accounts details windows, tailoring many fields and specifying the routes for reports.
No more hard copy files, no out of date information, no setting aside administrative tasks because they're in the ‘too hard' basket. youandi has become a core business practice for GDC. “It might feel like more work at the time but it's so worthwhile when you come to looking for information,” says sales support team member Inger Craven.
The Business Challenge
GDC was running three separate business systems for its accounting and service needs. The company didn't have a database and was looking for a CRM system that could be used to gather information on customers and bundle it to give useful pictures on a day-to-day basis.
