New Financial Accounting System
Snells had just implemented a new Financial Accounting System. The database was growing quickly, collecting large amounts of data that's was not being transformed into information. Snell needed to find the best way to transpose this data into information that would assist employees in decision making.

Solving problems with Technology
To solve their problem Snell turned to Incubator for a technology solution that would drive the company to a new level of performance and customer satisfaction.

Solution
Incubator proposed building a Data Warehouse. The data would be transferred from the mission critical databases routinely or in real time, on transfer to the Data Warehouse the information would be scrubbed and cleaned into a viewable format. The Data Warehouse would present the information that the users desired very quickly due to the cleansing it had received on transfer. The users would be able to access this information via a standard web browser, no heavy and unwieldy client side software was required.

Today
Today the Snell business intelligence receives over 100,000 hits per month. Its user friendly browser interface allows users to find information about customers, suppliers, products and sales with the click of a mouse.

The business intelligence tool has created a more agile Snell that is truly using information as a currency to maintain competitive advantage.

Future
Now the user has been introduced to the concept of business intelligence and they are using it everyday they can and want to be more involved in its development. The business intelligence tool at Snell is evolving constantly as users request access to more and more information to power decision making.
